Wedding Wire sales leader Kara Delvecchio presented the keynote at the first annual IES Women in Sales Selling Edge Conference on October 6. She spoke about the history of female leaders in business and sales and the lessons their stories can teach women in sales today. The keynote was very well received by the over 100 women in attendance.

Here are three bits of advice from Kara’s keynote:

  1. Don’t ever let your boss determine your self-worth.
  2. Don’t apologize. Don’t caveat. Don’t belittle your own ideas and opinions before you get started.
  3. Figure out what you like to do early and seek opportunities to do as many of those things as you can.
