Deltek Sales Vice President Mary Beth Cockerham was awarded the Institute for Excellence in Sales (IES) inaugural Women in Sales Leadership Award at the June 6 IES award event. She has been a sales leader for over 30 years, starting at Sun Microsystems in 1986 before joining INPUT in 2006. In 2010, Deltek acquired INPUT and Mary Beth continued with Deltek, where she is currently the VP of Sales leading the sales teams responsible for all new member acquisitions of GovWin IQ – the industry’s leading, market intelligence platform for companies pursuing public sector sales – as well as leader of Deltek’s Global Sales Development teams.
She was interviewed by Sales Initiative magazine on May 29 and discussed her views on sales leadership styles, challenges facing sales teams, and the role of technology on sales today.
