The 5th annual Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded to Mark Weber, Senior Vice President of Americas for NetApp. Bruce Klein, Cisco’s Worldwide Partner Leader and the 2014 IES Lifetime Achievement Winner, presented the award to Weber. Congressman Gerald Connolly also honored Weber with a Congressional Order.

“We are honored to recognize the 2015 IES winners who have demonstrated operational excellence across the sales lifecycle,” said Fred Diamond, Co-Founder of the IES and President of DIAMOND Strategic Marketing. “The winners and finalists ranged from Fortune 50 companies to high-growth, high-energy firms and represented a diverse array of industries.”

“We were also honored to present our Lifetime Achievement Award to Mark Weber,” said Diamond. “He is a true global sales leader and well-worthy of our recognition.”

Winners were selected from a large pool of nominees by an independent panel of expert judges for their commitment to excellence in five sales and business development categories.
Over 250 sales and business development professionals attended the awards event, which was held at the USA Today building in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia and keynoted by industry leading blogger Marcus “The Sales Lion” Sheridan. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS).

Diamond also said that the organization is now officially known as the Institute for Excellence in Sales and that the “& Business Development” has been dropped from its moniker.

The IES’s next monthly workshop will take place on June 26 with Mike Schmidtmann’s “Maximizing Your Sales Income: How Elite Salespeople Generate Huge Paychecks” at the Gannett Conference Center in McLean. For membership information, please visit https://i4esbd.com/membership/.
