Leadership Elevation Conference is a Day Dedicated to Activating Ambitions and Elevating the Sisterhood of Women in Sales

March 24, 2022 – Vienna, Va. – The Institute for Excellence in Sales (IES) announced today that tech industry leader Teresa Carlson will deliver the keynote at its one-day Leadership Elevation Conference on May 13, in Tysons Corner, Virginia. Ms. Carlson is the Non-Executive Chair of the board of directors of KnightSwan, an industry disruptor and catalyst for new and emerging technologies focused on accelerating innovation in cyber, cloud, and mission intelligence.

She has also held senior leadership positions at Splunk, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft.

The timing of the conference could not be better as companies are looking for deeper ways to engage their women in sales after the Pandemic.

“The past two years have been hard.  While working to stay safe and sane, we have learned a lot about ourselves and what’s important to us.  Women have carried a lot of the weight, balancing family needs, schooling, child and parent care, while working to keep their careers afloat,” said Gina Stracuzzi, Program Director for the IES Women in Sales Leadership Forum (WISL), and the Conference Chairperson. “This conference is a celebration of women in sales.  It’s a day dedicated to helping women engage with old and new friends, energize their ambition, and elevate themselves and others.”

Leaders from companies such as Salesforce, Oracle, Cvent, Red Hat, SAP NS2, Datasite and Akamai have participated in the Institute for Excellence Women in Sales Leadership Forum and are expected to participate in the conference.

Ms. Stracuzzi added that the IES will present an executive report at the conference based on a series of roundtable discussions with industry leaders on “What Does Equity, Equality & Inclusion Look Like Post Exodus.”  The report’s findings will be released and examined at the conference in a panel discussion led by two leading voices in corporate DE&I, Hang Black, Author and VP of Revenue Enablement at Juniper Systems, and Mary Shea, PhD, Global Innovation Evangelist at Outreach.

In addition to the keynote and DEI&B panel, the following breakout sessions will occur:

  • Building a Truly Diverse Sales Team
  • Collaboration Over Competition: Breaking Barriers Together
  • Activating Your Ambition for Greater Success
  • Is Imposter Syndrome Stopping You from Taking Career Growing Risks?
  • Elevating Your Executive Presence with Passion!

“The timing is right for the 2022 Leadership Elevation Conference,” said Clara Conti, GM for Red Hat’s Public Sector division and a member of the IES Women in Sales Advisory Board. “The sales professionals who will attend this program should expect a day-full of ideas, tactics, and strategies they can implement immediately to reignite the passion for selling, accelerate their sales efforts, and energize and expand their networks.”

Over 150 sales and business development professionals are expected to attend the conference, which will be held at the Westin Hotel in Tysons Corner.
